Ryan is a young boy who has overcome and conquered behavioral challenges with the help of Boys Town Nevada. At Edwards Elementary School, Boys Town Nevada’s School Support Specialists helped tremendously in developing stronger behavior skills with Ryan in school. Once struggling with impulsive actions, Ryan has now become a joyful and responsible presence both at home and in school.
“Seeing Ryan just flourish in his behavior, his mannerisms… he takes accountability for some of those impulsive behaviors, and he's just been even more joyful to have on campus,” said Emily Petosa, Edwards Elementary School’s Principal.
Ryan's mother, Ashley, has been a steadfast advocate for Boys Town Nevada, sharing her positive experiences with other parents and encouraging them to ask for help to strengthen their families just as she did. She speaks passionately about the impact Boys Town Nevada has had on their lives, highlighting the improvements in her parenting skills and the complete behavioral change Ryan has undergone. Thanks to Boys Town Nevada’s Common Sense Parenting Cafes and In Home Family Services, Ashley has been able to strengthen her parenting skills and give Ryan the support he needs to reach his potential.
In the past year, Boys Town has proudly impacted over 5,339 students through our Lift Program, provided essential support to 403 families with our In-Home Family Services, and empowered 283 parents through our Parenting Classes, making a significant impact on our community. It is because of the support of community members like you that Boys Town Nevada can provide life changing services to families like Ashley & Ryan, along with over 7,400 more children in 2024. Thank you for supporting Boys Town Nevada.
