Boys Town Nevada Welcomes Chef Sam Marvin to Board of Directors


Boys Town Nevada proudly announces that renowned restaurateur and entrepreneur Chef Sam Marvin has joined its Board of Directors. With a deep-rooted passion for community service and philanthropy, Chef Marvin brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families, directly serving and impacting more than 55,000 children through its comprehensive services, including In-Home Family ServicesSM and Common Sense Parenting® classes.

His passion for helping others and his ability to foster meaningful connections will be instrumental in our continued efforts to support at-risk children and families.”

Chef Marvin, the visionary behind Echo & Rig Butcher and Steakhouse and Bottega Louie, has made a significant mark on the culinary world with his innovative approach to dining and hospitality. His expertise in business leadership, strategic growth, and community outreach will be a valuable asset to Boys Town Nevada as the organization expands its programs and services.

Originally from California, Chef Marvin moved to Las Vegas in 2013 and has since built a reputation for excellence in the restaurant industry. With the successful launch of Echo & Rigs' flagship 10,000-square-foot location in Tivoli Village and the expansion of the brand to Henderson, at The District at Green Valley Ranch, he has proven his ability to lead and innovate. In addition, Chef Marvin’s Passport Culinary, a curated subscription program delivering premium cuts of meat from around the world, showcases his commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Boys Town Nevada looks forward to leveraging Chef's expertise and community-driven approach to further its mission of empowering children and strengthening families since joining its Board of Directors.  Chef Sam Marvin is also deeply committed to philanthropy, supporting causes like Breakthrough T1D (formerly Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), where he has helped raise more than $50K for diabetes research through various culinary events and celebrates his Echo & Rig team as being honored at the upcoming May gala. He is also involved with the California Wine Masters, a prestigious charity event that raises funds for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s research and care programs. Through his culinary events, including a 2024 fundraiser dinner for Boys Town  Nevada, Chef Sam continues to use his platform to give back to the community, furthering causes that align with his values of health, education, and support for those in need.

Known for his dynamic personality, Chef Sam has appeared on national TV, including Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay and Hallmark Channel’s Home and Family, where he showcases his culinary talents and entrepreneurial spirit. When not in the kitchen, he enjoys spending time with his family and continues to grow his culinary empire with new ventures and innovative projects on the horizon.
