The holiday season is a source of joy for many, but it can be challenging for our youth and vulnerable families. It often brings stress, loneliness, and hopelessness to our youth who are separated from their families. In addition, the families we support often struggle to provide their children a joyful holiday. Our EHS Program is hosting its second annual Winter Fest in early December for its 160+ infants, toddlers, and their families. Participants will receive resources, play games, and have pictures with Santa! Boys Town Louisiana has partnered with luxury candle company, Wicks NOLA, to offer a custom-made scented candle that promotes healthy children and families. The phrase, “How yo' mama an em?" is a friendly way to inquire about loved ones to ensure that they are all doing well and is the perfect name for a candle that benefits Boys Town with its history of caring for youth and families. This multi-colored, tri-scented candle was designed with the assistance of girls, ages 12-18, in our Family Home Program, as part of an entrepreneurial training project.
