People often ask, "Are there girls at Boys Town?" The answer is YES! The first girls were welcomed at in 1979. Today, girls make up about half of the youth we serve. During Women's History Month, we remember the thousands of Boys Town girls who have gone on to become strong, successful women and make their mark on the world.
We thank our supporters who continue to offer support and prayers for girls who are currently in our care, and those we will serve in the future.
Our founder, Father Flanagan, was a true visionary of his time. His dream and our founding principles are alive today, and are as relevant as they were when Boys Town first opened its doors more than a century ago.
My Family-Teachers, who are now my godparents, have not only taught me just how to become a young man and transition into adulthood, but they taught me about God, and I developed a good relationship in church.
